Course Description

Welcome to Animal Showdown: Who Would Win?, where amazing animal facts meet critical thinking! Each week, learners will explore two incredible animals as we discover what makes each one unique. Together, we'll learn about their habitats, diets, size, speed, strength, defenses, behaviors, and other fascinating facts before putting them head-to-head in a friendly showdown. Using graphic organizers such as Venn diagrams and comparison charts, learners will organize information, identify similarities and differences, and discuss how an animal's unique features help it survive. Then comes the big question: Who would win? Rather than simply guessing, learners will use the evidence they've gathered to support their conclusions, explain their thinking, and respectfully listen to different viewpoints. They'll discover that the answer often depends on the situation, habitat, and each animal's unique abilities! This highly interactive class encourages participation through discussion, games, trivia, and engaging visuals while helping learners strengthen critical thinking, observation, comparison, speaking, and reasoning skills. Whether we're comparing a shark and an orca, a lion and a tiger, or a polar bear and a grizzly bear, every week is a new adventure into the incredible world of animals!
