The Foutz and Hamel Families - The founders of WonderWell Learning

How WonderWell Learning Began

WonderWell Learning was born out of a desire to provide our children with enriching educational classes we could trust. As homeschooling families, we hold the role of guiding our children’s education dear to our hearts. We research the curriculums that come into our homes, the media and literature our children experience, the co-ops we participate in, and the role models we surround ourselves with. When it comes to online classes, the internet allows us incredible opportunities to lean into our children’s interests, hobbies, and talents, but outsourcing areas of their education to strangers online is a challenge when we can’t be sure what exactly the content includes. We wanted easy access to online classes taught by passionate teachers in their areas of expertise so that our children could flourish in their educational pursuits. But we also wanted to feel confident that the content of those classes would build their character, strengthen families, and be of high, moral value.

Although 74% of homeschool parents desire a moral-based education for their children and 58% prefer religious-based curricula, we couldn’t find an online marketplace that catered to families like ours.

PILLAR 02

Support for Teachers

Teachers are integral to the success of every student, which is why we are passionate about ensuring teachers have access to the tools they need to succeed. We are proud to support teachers through one-on-one guidance with dedicated staff, opportunities for professional growth and development, a library of resources, and a private online community space. Our platform is designed to connect teachers with excited learners, allowing them to focus on what they do best - teaching.

PILLAR 03

Accessible Courses for Families

High-quality education should be accessible to families everywhere, regardless of location or financial situation. That is why we are dedicated to offering live, online courses that can be taken from home. All that is needed to get started with any course in the WonderWell Learning library is the internet and a device with video capabilities. To widen access for families, we also accept funds from ESA, microgrants, and educational charters.

PILLAR 04

Trusted Educational Resources

Families deserve peace of mind when it comes to the content of their children’s education. We honor this by thoughtfully curating all courses on our platform, allowing families to focus on finding subjects that interest learners rather than worrying about content. We recognize that the interests and needs of each family will vary. To ensure it’s simple to find the right courses, we clearly outline the values, content considerations, and secular or religious nature of every course.

PILLAR 05

Transparency & Communication

Trust begins with open and honest communication. We strive to clearly outline what you will and won’t find within our courses, listen to family and teacher feedback, and implement positive changes when needed.
