Course Description

Brick Builders: Epic Events in History is a hands-on, story-driven class where students explore unforgettable moments from the past and bring them to life through creative building. Each week, learners dive into an engaging, age-appropriate story about a major historical event—such as the Titanic, the Wright brothers’ first flight, or the Moon landing—and discuss what happened, why it mattered, and how people responded to challenges and change. After the story and discussion, students take on a themed brick-building challenge inspired by the event. Builds may focus on engineering, design, problem-solving, or improving upon real historical outcomes. Any type of building bricks may be used, and creativity is always encouraged. Classes end with a relaxed sharing time where students explain their builds and reflect on what they learned. Each class is stand-alone, so learners may join at any time with no prior history knowledge required. This class blends history, STEM, creativity, and communication skills in a fun, interactive environment that helps students think deeply while learning through play.
