Kitchen Chemists: Christmas Mixtures & SolutionsAhhhhh! This class is so much fun and yummy 😋 I love this class and would never stop taking this class! ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY SOULD TAKE THIS CLASS!!
Your child who has always helped in the kitchen but never understood what was actually happening in there just found a two-day class where the Thanksgiving table becomes a chemistry lab — and everything they make, they get to eat. Over two sessions, students wake up yeast, knead dough until it passes a real test, watch it rise overnight, shape it into rolls, and bake it. The next day they learn why cranberries pop, why sugar changes how a sauce gels, and how fast-cooling in ice water is actually a lesson in heat transfer. Every step has a reason. Every change they see has a name. And the experiment they make is something they can put on the Thanksgiving table. Every concept in this class arrives through something students can touch, smell, hear, and taste — which means the science sticks because the experience does first. The cranberry sauce comes with a built-in homework assignment: check the wobble. Did it set into jelly overnight? That Thanksgiving Day reveal is the kind of science that follows a kid out the door and into everybody's tummies!

Kitchen Chemists: Candy ChromatographyThis was such a fun and engaging class! My daughter loved the hands-on candy chromatography experiment and enjoyed learning how scientists use the scientific method to ask questions, make predictions, and draw conclusions. It was a wonderful blend of science, creativity, and fun!

Math Missions Live! Problem Solving AdventuresI recommend this class if you want your kids to "play" with math. This is no pressure math. Candice presents the "math mission" at the beginning of class. Then the students work through it in whatever way their brain works. Sometimes it's collaborative and sometimes its individual. She meets every kid where they're at. When my daughter needed a break from the traditional math lessons, this was our go to.

Kitchen Chemists: Oobleck! My daughter loves the whole Kitchen Chemist series. This Oobleck class was so fun. She played with it for days. What I love about Ms Parks is that she encourages the kids to be real scientists by asking questions, forming their own hypothesis and then testing it. She doesn't expect them to just do it exactly like she does. She encourages experimentation.
