Course Description

Step into the wilderness with Roz the robot in The Wild Robot by Peter Brown! In this 4-week interactive book club, students will explore the story through hands-on STEM challenges, creative writing, and lively discussion. When Roz wakes up alone on a remote island, she must learn how to survive among wild animals, weather fierce storms, and care for a baby goose. As students journey through the book, they’ll discover powerful lessons about friendship, adaptation, courage, and compassion—while applying real-world STEM and design skills inspired by Roz’s adventures. Each week blends literature, science, and creativity, encouraging learners to think deeply about technology, nature, and what it means to be alive. Students will read assigned chapters at home, then come together to discuss themes, share insights, and build something amazing in class.
