Course Description

Draw, Build, Discover! Desert Animal Family Unit Study (Part 1) invites families to explore the wonders of God’s creation through the lens of desert survival. Each week, students will meet a new desert creature and uncover how its unique features help it adapt to scorching temperatures and sandy terrain. Children will draw, craft, and experiment as they learn about the camel’s water-storing humps, the fennec fox’s cooling ears, the ostrich’s powerful legs, and more. Through engaging visuals, storytelling, and guided art, students will see how every detail in creation reflects God’s creativity and care. Each 45-minute class includes: - A short science mini-lesson explaining real adaptations and survival traits. - A step-by-step animal drawing that reinforces observation skills. - A STEM + Art build families can create together using household materials. - A brief faith reflection celebrating God’s design and care. This class combines science, art, and exploration in a family-friendly environment where curiosity and creativity come together. By the end of the series, learners will have a collection of drawings, crafts, and new knowledge about how animals were wonderfully designed for life in the desert heat. Animals in Part 1: Camel, Fennec Fox, Ostrich, Desert Rabbit, Coyote Animals in Part 2: Rattlesnake, Scorpion, Tarantula, Vulture, Desert Tortoise
