In this creative arts camp, we will spend 30 minutes a day over the course of 4 days sketching, drawing, detailing, coloring, and labeling a fictional world map similar to maps found in the endpapers of fiction books. This course brings learners closer to the world of fiction by encouraging their creativity to jump off the pages of the book and onto a sketchbook page. Each class will consist of a short slideshow that covers the element learners will add to their maps that day, and lots of free creativity time. They are encouraged to work on their projects outside of class as well. On day 4, we have a Showcase where learners show and tell their beautiful maps for everyone to celebrate.
