After the busiest night of the year, even Santa and his elves need a well-deserved break! In this creative, hands-on project-based class, students will step into the role of North Pole resort designers, using their imagination and academic skills to plan, budget, and build the ultimate post-Christmas retreat for Santa and his team.
On Day 1, students will receive 50 Candy Cane Credits and a menu of retreat features to choose from — things like the Hot Cocoa Spa, Reindeer Snow Slide, or Elf Arcade. They’ll practice addition and subtraction as they decide how to spend their budget wisely while keeping their guests happy. Then, students will learn to use persuasive writing techniques — such as catchy slogans, vivid adjectives, and strong reasons — to begin crafting a colorful travel brochure that entices magical visitors to book their stay.
On Day 2, creativity takes center stage! Students will bring their designs to life by building or drawing their Santa’s Winter Retreat using everyday craft supplies, recyclables, or building blocks. They’ll label attractions, decorate their resort, and present their brochure in a fun “Resort Tour” to the class. This session reinforces both academic and communication skills while letting kids express their personality and holiday cheer.
This class is designed for holiday fun and learning — students do not need to believe in Santa to participate. All themes are lighthearted and focused on imagination, teamwork, and creativity. The tone remains family-friendly, inclusive, and welcoming for all learners.
