Course Description

Get ready for laughter, creativity, and a little bit of monster mischief! In Monster Trappers, families will work together to design and build a trap for a friendly, silly monster — then write a short story about what happens next. Each child (or sibling team) will receive a monster picture prompt to inspire their design. Using simple household materials, families will brainstorm ideas, sketch their plans, and build a creative “trap” to catch their monster. Once the design is complete, they’ll use storytelling prompts to write a fun narrative describing their monster-catching adventure! This class is designed for a variety of ages, making it ideal for homeschool families and sibling groups to enjoy together. Younger students can focus on drawing and describing their traps, while older kids can add creative writing and detailed engineering touches. Along the way, we’ll talk about how God made each of us creative problem solvers and imaginative thinkers — capable of building, inventing, and dreaming big! 🧩 What Families Will Love: Engaging, hands-on STEM fun that promotes teamwork Open-ended creativity that welcomes all skill levels Guided storytelling to encourage literacy and imagination Faith-friendly and completely non-spooky — perfect for fall or anytime of year By the end of class, your family will have a one-of-a-kind monster trap, a creative story to share, and memories made together!
