Meet The Teacher

My name is Michael Parks. I am first and foremost a firm believer in Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. I also firmly believe the Bible is the word of God. The next most important thing to me is my family. My wife and I have been married for almost twenty years. We have four kids. Currently,  our eldest daughter is eleven, ,our middle daughter is eight, and our twins, boy and girl, are now five. As a family we enjoy gaming, both board and video. We especially love Legos, Minecraft, and Pokémon. 

 A large driving force in my life is creativity. Creativity through the arts is something that I use in many aspects of my day to day. I know the benefits that using our disciplines we have learned from our creativity can elevate and expand our options for dealing with many challenges. I have taken several courses in college that grew my passion into different medias such as drawing, photography, and digital art. Another passion I adopted a few years ago is working with  “do it yourself” types of tools and equipment, such as 3D printers and laser engraving and even dabbling with microcontrollers. As an adult I have learned to blend a lot of the skills I have acquired to help me in the field of medical device manufacturing. I have been able to use my creativity to help diagnose issues that caused us as a team to overcome obstacles that were slowing or even halting a product's manufacturability. 

 Lastly, I just would like to say I am looking forward to helping cultivate new skills with you and your little ones.
