Writing and teaching have always been woven into who I am. I am a middle school ELA educator, curriculum designer, and children’s and fantasy author with a deep love for language, stories, and thoughtful learning. From a young age, books and writing were my constant companions, and that love only deepened through years of study, mentorship, and teaching. In my classroom (and now in my courses), I focus on helping students grow confident in reading, writing, and critical thinking—while also learning to enjoy words, ideas, and their own unique voices. I love teaching language arts because it sits at the crossroads of creativity and structure, imagination and discipline.
In addition to my language arts courses, I also offer arts-based classes that invite students to create with their hands as well as their minds. These classes blend storytelling, drawing, sketching, and imaginative play, encouraging students to explore creativity without pressure or perfectionism. My goal is to help learners see the arts as a joyful form of expression and problem-solving—one that builds confidence, observation skills, and creative courage. Whether students are illustrating a story, responding visually to a prompt, or experimenting with simple techniques, I aim to create a relaxed, encouraging space where creativity can grow naturally.
Outside of teaching, I’m a wife and mom to two boys, and much of my life is shaped by family, faith, and the quiet rhythms of home. I enjoy writing stories, scratch cooking, reading, and creating a warm, thoughtful learning environment—whether that’s at the kitchen table or in a virtual classroom. My courses are designed to feel encouraging, meaningful, and human, with plenty of room for curiosity and growth. I’m honored to walk alongside students as they learn, create, and discover what they’re capable of, and I’m so glad you’re here.
