Thank you for visiting my profile!
Connection defines my style, as I try to integrate being the mother and homeschool co-teacher (with my husband) of three children, and an online teacher of hundreds of students worldwide.
I enjoy sharing my practical experience as the author of the "Emotebook," a freelance writer for over 20 years, an editor of other authors, and the creator of www.connectfirst360.com
My teaching philosophy centers around connecting first as persons, which helps learners tap into the creativity, self-confidence, and curiosity that fuel their schoolwork and lifework. My goal is to create a learning environment that promotes this type of connection.
I teach by servant leadership, focusing on wholesome personal development while also giving families the tools to meet the practical homeschool requirements of their region, and partnering with other parents to support authentic, strong family connections.
Other qualifications include: B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, M.S. in clinical psychology from Divine Mercy University, TESOL certification for ESL education, Years of experience coaching young people in youth groups, clubs and summer camps, International experience from years living in Ireland, Spain and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and A passion for partnering with other families to make quality homeschool possible.
I hope to connect with you soon!
