The first step is applying! Before you apply, there are a few things you’ll want to have prepared.
1. A Headshot.
2. An Introduction Video.
3. A Mini-Lesson Video OR a Complete Course Syllabus.
Once you have all three pieces ready, fill out an application here.
Next, a team member will reach out to schedule 1-2 virtual interviews with applicants we feel will make positive additions to the WonderWell Learning community. Some of the questions we’ll be covering in interviews include:
The final step in the hiring process is onboarding. This is where we cross our t's and dot our i's on the legal side. During onboarding, you'll complete pieces like contractor agreements, payment set-up, tax forms, training, etc. through our HR and payroll partner, Gusto.
You’ve made it through the more formal pieces of getting started as a teacher, but here is where we start to have fun. Next up in your teacher journey is setting up your teacher profile! We want to see your best foot forward in this step, so choose your best headshot and prepare a bio that allows families to get to know you, your personality, and your teaching style.
It’s time to create your first course! All courses on the platform, even from our most experienced teachers, must be submitted for admin review and approval before going live on the marketplace. Once approved, you are free to create as many sessions as you’d like and open your course for enrollment.
We do not require a formal teaching license, degree, or credentials to teach with us. Experience and expertise can come from a variety of models that help shape wonderful educators and role models. We believe that with the right people at the helm, seeds of curiosity, imagination, and wonderment will be planted to fuel a lifelong love of education. To help ensure high-quality and trustworthy educational experiences, teachers must meet the following requirements:
We welcome both secular and religious courses here at WonderWell Learning. To ensure courses are uplifting and enriching, we require that all courses incorporate 1-3 values from our company values list which can be found below.
There are many styles of courses that can be taught, and that decision is completely dependent on teacher preference. Some popular options include drop-in courses, one-day workshops, ongoing clubs, full curriculums, academic courses, enrichment courses, independent tutoring, etc.
We actively share about available courses. This includes sharing class spotlights in newsletters, on our social media channels, in our community Facebook group, and highlighting new courses each week!
We also encourage teachers to share about their courses. Our WonderWell Learning Community Facebook group is an excellent place to share your courses with families, as well as other education groups and your personal social media profiles.
We are dedicated to supporting the success of all our teachers here at WonderWell Learning and the strongest way we can accomplish this is with a combined effort of our team and teachers all actively sharing courses.
Teachers earn 70% of the set class price.
Earnings from individual class meetings are paid 7-13 days after the completion of a class. Any refunds or issues that need to be resolved will occur during this time. At the 7-day mark, payment is then calculated and added to the next pay cycle! Payroll runs weekly and teachers can select how they’d like to be paid out in their Gusto portal.
Earning rates during our pilot program are higher than the standard 70% rate.
